Today I will finish my English class in TEFL, but I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I’m happy for I can speak English a lot and I’ve gained so much English knowledge, but I'm also sad, because I’ll finish my study here, which means I have to leave soon. You don’t know how much I like TEFL, my teachers and classmates! I like you all more than you can imagine, because I have been studying in TEFL for a long time. Everybody called me “the big sister”. I feel very warm. The school is really like my big family! I came to the school when it just started. And at that big day I gave a speech as a student representative, but it’s a Chinese version speech.
Time flies! I can’t believe I have been studying at TEFL for one and half years. But I still remember the first day when I came to TEFL. I met a very interesting foreign teacher, Hasan, and a very nice Chinese teacher, Rebecca. At that time I didn’t know they would give me such an important influence in my study life.
When I came to TEFL, I can’t speak English at all. Hasan was the first foreign teacher to make me speak English. I felt very excited, because finally I’m not afraid to open my mouth to speak English. He told me “no weekends for language learning. We can study English whenever and wherever we want.” We enjoyed his every class and he also talked to us out of the classes. You know, it’s very helpful and also very important for the students. I always remember his words. He made me fall in love with English. Everybody said he is the best foreign teacher!
And my dear Tutor Rebecca, I remember when I first came to TEFL I couldn’t understand any words. She asked me to listen to every word very carefully. To my surprise, I could catch some of them; you know, I was even afraid to give it a try at the very beginning. From then on, I started to like English listening. And she is so patient and responsible in order to make us learn English better. I feel very lucky that I met such a good teacher like a sister and a friend. She is so young, but I think she is the best Tutor in TEFL! I like her very much!
During the past one and half years, I met many Chinese and foreign teachers from different places. They are so kind and helpful that I can speak English well now. I want to thank Chinese teacher: Peggy, Lisa, Doreen, Peter, Carla, Vivian……Foreign teacher William, Ross, David, Phillip, Eddy, Eric……You know I want to thank you more, but words failed me! Let me just say “I like you all!” You all gave me very deep memories. I feel very lucky! because you are not only my teachers, but also friends, sisters and brothers.
My dear classmates! We’re going to say goodbye soon. Although it’s the moment I don’t want, I have to face it now. You know I still like English very much! I will never stop English study, and I hope you will be the same! Thank you so much for bringing me the happiest time during the past days! I’ll keep this happy time that we have had together in my mind. And I’ll also treasure the friendship between you and me!
I hope after a few years, the words will still remind you of everything happened in TEFL. Thank God for giving us such a good opportunity to get together. If we can grasp now, I hope we can hold it in the future! We must be confident, because tomorrow will be a pretty day!
